Allie Kelley is a Painter, Massage Therapist, and lover of all things bright and shiny from rural West Virginia that currently resides in Blacksburg, VA. Allie has a degree from WVU in Philosophy, but sadly, not Art.
Having no formal education in the arts, Allie Kelley is an outsider artist who paints vibrantly whimsical paintings. Often her work reflects elements in nature- birds, trees, and insects- painted in a flamboyantly bright fashion. More than anything, Allie’s work expresses her love and obsession with pretty colors. Often the artist will find herself smitten with a particular color or a combination of several hues and the painting will grow from that. The last thing to be added, mentally or physically to a painting- is its subject.
